Having worked on a number of designs for Talk Nightclub, we built up a relationship where they trusted me to produce something of quality for their up-coming events. The events would vary and based up on the genre and style, that would direct me in direction of the design. I was given freedom to be creative, and I think that shows in this piece.

I had the idea of producing a design using a painting type background, using a negative logo on top. In my search I can across this colourful smoke effect and automatically thought it would be prefect. The logo 'Zone' I felt really learnt itself to itself. You really feel it's saying 'in the zone' and that's generally how I interpret it when I've been out dancing, music playing and I'm there in my zone, so I wanted to portray that. A radio signal first came to mind, within this signal is the optimal zone for the music, so essentially the music signal and the play icon in the middle of the 'O' is to symbolise the music and where it's origin is. I also used this play icon to create some playful shapes to add in some diversity. Along with the playfulness, I used a twerky handwritten font for the date and typewriter font for the information, with some halftones at the bottom to bring the piece together.
