Challenging tasks at work stimulate further learning and excitement
Academy Class client Sharon Soutar was someone who needed further learning and development to adapt to demands of her workplace and advance her career.
Sharon works in the Heritage Protection Department of Historic England. In 2014, she faced two particularly challenging tasks.

To complete the task Sharon had to be proficient in Adobe packages, but she didn’t feel she has the necessary skills. “I have barely touched InDesign before”, said Sharon.
