Adobe Flash Professional is becoming Adobe Animate CC

Published

Over the decades, Adobe Flash has become the web standard in animation, but times are changing. Adobe has now decided that Adobe Flash will become Adobe Animate CC, which will include many new features and tools. The expected release date is early 2016.

You no longer need to worry that you will lose features that you are accommodated to – Animate will continue supporting Flash (SWF) and AIR formats, but there will be some major improvement because Animate will be able to convert animation to virtually any format.

In order to create the perfect angle when you draw, you will be able to rotate the canvas to 360°. There’s more: you will be able change colours faster and automatically update your entire project. Also when syncing sounds, there wouldn’t be a need for coding: you simply control all the audio directly on the interface’s timeline.

You can expect many improved brushes like the vector art brushes that allow you to modify the angle of the stroke after it has been drawn and import brushes that have been created with Adobe Capture CC.

Animating has never been easier – there will be Creative Cloud Libraries directly accessible from Adobe Animate CC, which you will be able to access as you work. The libraries will contain millions of high quality colours, vectors, brushes and graphics that will improve the quality of your animation and drawing, plus save you time and effort in the process.

As the image quality over the screens has been improving as well, Adobe Animate CC will give you the chance to export videos with the latest resolutions for Ultra HD and Hi-DPI displays. You can resize and optimise the videos for any resolution you need.

There is good news for the Adobe Muse, InDesign, DPS and Dreamweaver users as well. They will be able to export the content as a OAM file format and easily import it into their favourite program.

With all those exciting new features and benefits for its users, Adobe Flash Professional not only changes its name to Adobe Animate CC, but also gives a start to a new era of animation.
