Please find my CV and covering letter.
I've done this same job at the very highest level - now I want to take it even a step further.
I have been a chairman, investor, account manager, journalist, parliamentary assistant, public relations consultant and legal advisor. I fit the job description because I know what it's like to work with stakeholders in a fast-paced environment where you find yourself holding a press release in the morning and then travelling for a brief on a select committee, all the while consulting casework with clients inbetween!
As Chairman of the largest Students' Union in Europe - University of London Union - I've held one of the highest posts in student politics in the country. I've been fortunate enough to work with a number of charities, NGO's and think tanks and experience almost every aspect of the political atmosphere in Westminster and Whitehall. I've campaigned and worked across London throughout the night and weekends - that should be a clear indication of the commitment I will put in.
I've had the privilege to undertake groundbreaking postgraduate research in social sciences and economics at leading universities () and attained one of the highest degrees possible (Research Fellowship) at the best institution in the world (Harvard University). I have the experience to get this job done. I have also been fortunate enough to have become a published writer, appointed as an Ambassador of Higher Education and manage media relations and web development. I fulfill the person specification, including in advanced IT and media software as my professional career has been to lead projects with a 130,000 electorate in London.
I'm sure that every applicant will assure you that their organised, punctual and meticulous in their detail but all I can offer is that I wouldn't have studied top degrees at 6 of the best institutions, delivered the graduation speech, become the youngest ever Chair in London-wide elections since I was 18, become a published author whilst I was still an undergraduate, be promoted in the positions I've worked in, received an award or some ambassador role with the organisations I've worked with; all if I wasn't any of those things. At every stage of my education and in every position of my career, as is evident in my CV, there are examples of where I've excelled by having gone that extra mile beyond what has been required of me.
I won't list all my inflated credentials or eccentric job titles here (I'll leave that to my CV); but with over 4 years' experience working on elected and leadership roles, I have ideas not only to do this job, but to create links with other like-minded people and organisations I've networked with on how we can expand this job.
Many people may tell you that they are passionate about social change an
