Re : Visual Merchandiser

I am writing with regard to your recent advertisement for a visual merchandiser.

I graduated from The University of Portsmouth in 2013 with BA (Hons) in Fashion & Textile Design with Enterprise and am keen to pursue my career within the fashion industry. I am a creative and imaginative individual with a flair for design, colour and style, and always maintaining a sound knowledge on current and upcoming trends. I enjoy working as part of a team, however also have the confidence and ability to work independently.

I currently work at Ralph Lauren as Product Presentation / Graphic Design assistant. I support on photo shoots with training managers covering all brands; Menswear Polo, Menswear Luxury, Womenswear Lauren & Childrenswear. I also help with the production of training materials which are put together to support individuals across 7 regions on how to showcase brands under the Ralph Lauren umbrella. I thoroughly enjoy this position however i feel I am ready for a new challenge and a position, which is going to give me more of a creative insight.

Visual Merchandising has always been a sector I have wished to get into. Seeing shop window displays, and layouts of product within in store excites me and I wish to be part of that set-up. With the passion I have and the skills I have attained from both university and whilst at Ralph Lauren I believe I would make a suitable candidate for this role.
