About me
I have recently completed a degree in Industrial Product Design achieving a classification of 2:1 and would like to make the best use of the skills developed during my university study and my seven month placement. My placement wasnâ€(TM)t a conventional design placement as I spent my time in two schools. I worked as a teaching assistant in resistant materials and graphics classes. This enabled me to teach the knowledge that I gained during my university studies as well as developing my organisational and time management skills. During my final year I had the opportunity to work on a live project in collaboration with Leon Paul Fencing Equipment. The brief was designed to encompass the whole design process from concept generation to manufacture. I was therefore able to apply all that I had learnt while at university and on placement to a work situation. Over the past four years, I have become proficient in Solidworks and Adobe CS Suite on both Mac and Windows systems. I am able to work under pressure to tight deadlines and ensure the work is produced at the highest level. I enjoy working in a creative team and have the ability to communicate with managers and colleagues alike as my referees can confirm. I think that working within your company would give me valuable insight into the workings of a design team and I believe I can make a significant contribution to your company. My CV and examples of my two final projects are attached. I can bring my complete portfolio to an interview and look forward to the opportunity to do so.
