ABOUT

This is my final project for my Bachlors which consisted of me remaking a childhood favourite with my own illustrations and book cover designs. I took the opportunity to teach myself book binding, and also develed into technical binding stitches such as The 'Hemp stitch', which I ended up using for this project. The typography on the bookcover was hand drawn and then screenprinted with gold paint to achieve a whimsical traditional fairytale look. The interior pages are illustrated with gouache and ink paintings that then got rendered and finalised in photoshop.
