Whist working in claims and sales departments for Liverpool Victoria I had a supporting role as a Design champion, creating publications and visuals to promote company services.
There were a total of 8 design champions across all Liverpool victoria sites and brief we were given only one winning design could be chosen and displayed.
On this occasion we were asked to create 1 A4 (210mm width x 297mm high) portrait staff discount advert in a PDF format.

The first thing I did was research the products needed for the advert and brainstorm my ideas on paper, once I had an understanding of each product
Looking for inspiration and ideas I searched various media formats including the Internet, magazines, books and newspapers, once I gathered a collection of images, fonts and colour palates I created a number of mood boards and sketch’s to show the client what ideas I had and where I was thinking of going with the brief moving forward.
After showing the client my ideas and where I was planning on going with the design I made a mock up advert displaying my best ideas, making sure I was using the correct use of the brand and colours showing all of the products discounts in one poster.

After showing the mock up design and getting feedback from the client I moved forward to creating the final piece. The final piece was completed within plenty of time from the deadline and I made sure I had plenty of contact with the client incase anything needed to be changed or updated. Once the advert was completed I showed it to the client before submitting it to the printers to insure they were happy.
The creative team assessed and evaluated each design entry submitted and picked a winning design to be rolled out and printed on the back cover of the Liverpool Victoria magazine, this is a monthly magazine which thousands of copies are send to all of the offices in the uk.
My design was picked and was printed on the magazines as well as being printed and displayed in large format at the Liverpool victoria creative end of year show.
