Dear Sir/Madam,
I am a graduate in English Literature and Language and a highly professional individual with experience of working within Sales, Marketing, Journalism and creative environments and have well-developed presentation skills. I have consistently maintained a good track record throughout my studies. I am conscientious, flexible and have very good organisational/creative skills which I am keen to develop further. I feel I have all the skills that would make me an indispensable member to have in your team.
I am currently working in Social Media and Sales in a Lettings Agency. I came in and implemented a structure to Social media at the company, as there was little use of social media at the company. I also helped with creating a new brand identity and designing the website. I have a real talent for talking to and investigating people, finding out what they want and need and giving them product that meets their requirements. I have learnt to be resilient and most importantly I have a great understanding of how people work, what to say to them and when to say it. I also have a good years experience working in Sales and Marketing doing b2b projects and having been an experienced sales assistant and customer liaison officer, I have been able to develop my skills as a team player and I have become someone who values the importance of providing excellent customer service. I learnt that working as part of team and maintaining a good standard of communication was paramount in providing great customer service. My main duties in my last position included generating new business and selling our product via cold calling and warm calling, listen to the customer's needs, requirements and interests and inform them of the benefits of our product, liaising with other companies and organisations, research, working to very high standards whilst providing outstanding customer service at all times. I was also responsible for evaluating incoming and outgoing memos, submissions and reports. I am also very skilled in preparing agendas, data entry, and the preparation of information for presentation by higher Management. I have also worked as a PR officer and advertising assistant for three years for a small music events company called Scene Not Herd. It was through working here that I gained solid interpersonal skills, with the capability to communicate with individuals at all levels. I also have strong talents in creating, writing, and producing innovative ideas and designs. My organizational skills have allowed me to prioritise schedules and complete projects within time and budget guidelines. I am also a freelance journalist for the on-line magazine WestLondonLiving.co.uk where I specialise in travel, property and occasionally finance.
I possess a breadth of experience across a variety of fast-paced environments. My previous work experience enabled me to develop effective time management and customer facing skills. I have strong communication skills as well as a great deal of energy and enthusiasm. I am competitive, innovative and persuasive, and enjoy working within a challenging environment.
