​​​​​​​Our latest job for EPIC was at the same time technically challenging and artistically pleasing adventure.

THE NEON SIGN
We decided to go in details with the letters glass break points, connected wires, mounts and the steel frame that caries all of it. We have made possible that any aspect of the 3d is art directable. We could change the way wires hang, spacing of the gap in the neon glass and the overall structure height with the divisions in the frramework.
Despite all that level of control, what we proposed was accepted instantly.
Client quickly approved the 3D so we went on location the night before the shooting to get an idea of the placement and height of our 3D structure.
Shooting time
it was windy and cold.... but we had great time anyhow.
After getting the colour corrected plates we had 6 missions (almost impossible)
Mission 1: 3D track the plate
Mission 2: Remove the light stand-in structure
Mission 3: Paint the area on the floor where the lights were
Mission 4: Paint the background that was not there or behind the light structure
Mission 5: Merge 3D to the plate and compose the glows
Mission 6: Compose the people back over 3Dand the above procedure 5 times. 

All that was suppose to happen in only 7 days.

We worked with a senior Flame artist Alexis Demetriou, who was doing the removals and almost all of the in-paint job. At the same time our editor and post production manager Efthyvoulos Efthyvoulou was putting all the pieces and sending them over for rapid approval. At one point we had 2 entire shots completed and approved the same day.The digital pipeline we had established with Media Studios was once again project proven to be rock solid.
