Amanda's work

An artist and sculptor who embraces natural materials, primarily wood. Wood offers itself as a beautiful form which in turn lends itself to the figurative. Quite often the form informs me of structure that echos a former existence. Using wood that has been felled or fallen contains for me a sustainability of a resource that can project beauty and intent even after it is no longer living.
Another area i enjoy exploring is Watercolour painting, a soft approach to portraiture, giving subtle blends of colour that emanate emotion and beauty without definative lines. A project and a solution is something i strive to achieve with a use of artistic intent.
