The 6th Annual Lovie Awards took place 27 October 2016 in London at The BFI Southbank, celebrating the very best of the European Internet.

Special Achievement honourees included Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Yann LeCun, Person of the Year Annie Lennox, Emerging Entrepreneurs Fairphone (Tessa Wernink), the Internet Video Person of the Year Patricia Bright, The 'Be Greater with Data' Award recipient, Süddeutsche Zeitung, and The Lovie Creators for Change Winners Rose Ellen Dix and Rosie Spaughton.
