I have written a book about the visual style of the world of Burlesque. Part of my research led me to meet a beautiful Japanese burlesque performer. I recently did a fashion editorial photoshoot with her in Japan, which was published inthe May 2023 print edition of GMARO Magazine.

In this image, Bonita wears a vintage 1950s red Chinese dress called a cheongsam or qipao, and Bonita's very exciting looking heels are bespoke made by hardot.
