The concept of Ganesha was about Calligraphy Ganesha. The client was clear on customising the size of the canvas - 120 cms height with 55 cms width. The concept was clear from the client. Colour Pallete they left it on me. I used Indian bright colours like yellow, orange, pink, magenta, shades of browns and gold for the effect and the base of the painting client wanted as a saree border. Ganesha slokas were written with a paintbrush on the edge of the saree border.
While executing the artistic part of Ganeshas I started to draw and colour the rough sketch on the paper. Drawing trunk was fun and challenging. Once I was clear of my concept. I started to work on canvas. Now comes the sizing and spacing of the letter in between the words and lines were crafted directly on the canvas.
It took me 7 days to develop the painting. I keep two weeks to deliver the commission of the artwork. Keeping in the mind for drying time for colours and after that layering the varnish on the painting.
My client loved the result of the artwork.
When a client takes the painting it's just a happy feeling and when they are satisfied with the result of the whole composition.
