The brief was to replicate the style of the 1950s/60s adverts for Bovril. The art I did was to create a cover for a whole online promotional book with strip stories of various 'Boys Own' stories of heroism and achievements, all with the help of Bovril. Apart from the line illustration I also provided the lettering, copying the period style as closely as possible. The client had provided a complete list of the stories that were included, and I had to decide which stories would make an effective cover, also allowing for a nice big jar of Bovril!
