Network Rail is at the heart of revitalising Britain’s railway. From Crossrail – Europe’s largest civil engineering project – to investment in world-class stations and major programmes of electrification, we're involved in some of the most ambitious and diverse ventures that this country has ever seen.

These are a few of our largest projects:

• Crossrail: a new cross-London service which will transform travel in the capital

• Birmingham New Street: a radical overhaul, which will spur significant regeneration

• Reading Station: redevelopment of the biggest bottle neck on the great Western Main Line

• The Electrification Spine: a new overhead electrification of four of our main routes
