ABOUT
My skin has a softness, not that of a child with milk fed plumpness or that of adult years when silken muscles stretched in perfection - my skin is soft from giving into time. It has the same paths and folds that land acquires as the sun and moon tracks the sky. I will not mourn. I have a beauty even though faded which shows the honesty of a long life.
Dried Petals, Sweet Pea Flowers
How to hold on to summer colour?
I gather fallen petals and display them in bowls and drinking glasses hoping their prettiness stays a little longer. One day I will paint soft floaty watercolour paintings, or so I tell myself but until then, a photograph has to do.
