Hunting, I think is close to creating, I say this because when hunting you have to imagine the end of your actions. You have to predict what is possible with what you have and what your souroundings offer. You have to create in your mind the outcome.
As an Artist that is exactly what I do.
So hunting in a charity shop fulfils a primitive urge. For me anyway.
I found a string of tiny china birds, each one had a hole in the middle and the string was threaded through. A sort of bracelet but not really. What the intended use was originally I haven't a clue.
I wish I had kept the string and I wish I had taken a photo of them on the string. I can't even re-enact that as they are in a box somewhere while I have some bookshelves fitted. (A long term wish at last happening).

I posted my findings and the words on a social website - the birds are free from their string and are waiting for flight. A follower said something about if anyone could make them fly, then I could!
Such a fab challenge.

Outside the sky was deepest of blue, the clouds were the whitest of white, how could I get them up there? Not back on a string, that I didn't want to do. I needed something they could rest on, and after hunting in my kitchen I found a glass cookware dish.

Perfect - the ceramic birds placed in the dish, raised high, the resulting photo had the Tiny Birds flying free at last.
