UK Music Video Awards + LEAP = 14 Years of Post-Production Partnership

LEAP’s Film and Post team are thrilled to continue their longstanding post-production partnership with the UK Music Video Awards, one which began fourteen years ago with the first awards show in 2008.

Event Director Louise Stevens says, “We’re delighted to be working with the talented editors and producers at LEAP once again this year to create the on-screen packages for our Awards show. They are an essential force in the creative collaboration between the UKMVAs, our art directors at StudioThomson, animator Jake Greenwood and sound designer Rob Simons. With their help, we look forward to delivering a spectacular presentation of the nominated work at Magazine London on October 27th.”

The roots of LEAP’s moving image team date back to the 1990s, making them one of the most experienced post houses in London. Over the decades, workflows requiring stacks of digibeta tapes have evolved into secure high volume file management through virtual server technology. This year LEAP doubled the size of their post-production facilities and grew their team of producers and editors to better support clients across a broad range of sectors and post-production requirements.

The UKMVAS honour the creative people behind the artform – directors, producers, cinematographers, production designers, choreographers, colourists, editors, animators and VFX artists as well as commissioners and agents – all voted for by professionals within the industry. This year, LEAP also sponsors the Best Special Visual Project category.

Whether it’s providing creative input by selecting video clips, joining the show’s elements together by applying the graphics, text and sound to the nominations packages or balancing audio levels and providing the final quality assurance checks, LEAP is proud to help the UKMVAs achieve high production values for what is the most important music video industry event in the calendar.
