A 30 second originally hand illustrated 3D motion sequence finished in a 2D aesthetic and using a bold minimal palette for maximum visual effect.
Our concept was playful, illustrative and encompassed all the adventure, detective mystery and comedy of the show. Each scene encompassed the whodunnit, quirky nature of the series, with clever transitions keeping the audience invested int the light hearted narratives, with visual storyline easter eggs featured throughout.

We played with scale, close ups and wides using trick of the eye transitions and dynamic drama camera moves to guide the audience through a number of thrilling scenarios.

This was a true mixed media title sequence where all tools in our tool kit have been used to create the assets. Inspired from the master of title sequences Saul Bass, the style of the sequence was to have a cut out, texturised and tangible feel. Illustrative UV maps were created from the 3D assets to give them a look which felt hand made and organic. CGI assets were then combined with stop motion elements and comped in After Effects.
