ABOUT
Building a railway anywhere is typically regarded as a “superbuild” project requiring Government monies to fund it's development. Enter the Moose Consortium. This group of entrepreneurs are taking a rather unique approach, some may even say—innovative. The truth of the matter is that Moose is utilizing the same private-sector financing model used prior Canada's Confederation (1867) to re-instate a commuter/rail system on existing railway infrastructure.
The web project is a “consumer” approach to explaining the seemingly complex process that will see a new rail company built (the first in 125 years) on over 400km of rail, serving millions of people without the use of taxpayer dollars to fund this system.
The site morphs weekly as development continues to help better inform the community of the National Capital Region.
