In 2015 I set out together with Spark Micro Grants on a trip to the 13 villages in Eastern Africa that Spark was operating in. Rwanda, Burundi and Uganda is an area where war and genocide has been common for quiet some time and thus the people are suffering from post war and genocide stress syndrome.
My goal was to photograph formal portraits of some the inhabitants in their own environment. I spent 4 weeks traveling the hills in this area with one member from the NGO Spark.
