My works experiment with the phenomena of biophillia to generate an immediate connection with the viewer whilst simultaneously encouraging reflection on what lies below the surface of our beings. For this collection I am looking at micro environments and focusing on the small things, a lavender pod, the texture inside an acorn, to recreate a sense of wonder in those things seen so frequently.

Following on from the theme of my last collection the bee makes a physical appearance here. I have developed a personal connection to the bee over the past two years and by including it in its physical form feels like a signature in a way. By following the bee around its flight, imagining where it may land and what the world may look like from its point of view has brought about much inspiration for this collection.

I began experimenting with surface patination on silver and managed to get some beautiful colours not often seen on the precious metal. The dark matte colours bring more mystery to the pieces.

For the next step in my carrear as a environmentally conscious jewellery I am now registered as a fairtrade jewellery and I support recycled silver and fairtrade gold.
