Joe Allen Functional Skills Teacher

ABOUT

Aspect was a game me and a group of students at Hallam University created for an assignment for our game design module. Aspect was originally designed as a two player co'operative tetris block style game in which the players filled holes in the ground by controlling rotation and movement on separate axis. The game was such a success during it's development that our lecturer asked us to pitch the game to Sony directly, after which Sony agreed to Publish our game on the PSN network. We were also asked to attend a Games republic event for us to demonstrate our game to other game design students as well as industry professionals, it was here that we won the award for 'Best Team'.

After the majority of the group graduated the game was developed further and published by Sheffield Hallam's own game development studio Steel Minions and has since been published on the PSN network and has over 1000 downloads worldwide.
