ABOUT

Background

Founded in 1944, Dunnes is a retail chain with its main operations in both areas of Ireland. The the chain also have some operations in England, Scotland and Spain.

Dunnes in Ireland have recently undergone some new development in its magazine category with the help of marketing agency Fore Retail Consultancy.

Fore Retail approached me to produce a training video on their behalf. The video aims to educate and explain the correct procedures for staff to follow in store with regards to their newspaper and magazine deliveries. For security reasons this video was shot in stills instead of rolling film.

Work Completed

For this particular production, I had been provided with a number of still images to use within the video. Unfortunately, the photos provided were extremely underexposed and required some significant editing to bring them to a usable standard. (Examples of these shown).

Once the photos had been edited, I recorded a voiceover using a provided script. The voiceover was recorded in 7 parts to allow for easier editing in post and had been encoded, compressed and equalised to remove any audio artefacts.

Furthermore, 15 slides were then created to provide informative content to complement the voiceover and to break the video into chapters.

All of the material was brought into Premiere Pro to sequence, trim, apply transitions and complete a full render before encoding to playback on PC/Laptops, tablets and phones.
