Fresh off the Academy Award win for Best Achievement in Visual Effects for their work on the critically acclaimed film Dune, Wylie Co. is thrilled to welcome back Daniel Lang as full-time staff Compositor along with the talented Unreal Engine artist Bryan Bigler.

“Bryan Bigler and one of our favorite freelance artists has returned to staff roles with us,” says Wylie Co. Founder Jacob Maymudes. “Bryan Bigler will be advancing our Unreal Engine pipeline while Dan brings strong creative eyes to our compositor team. These two are top notch artists and have spent many years at the cutting edge facilities like The Mill, Framestore & MPC. We’re humbled they chose Wylie Co. for staff roles.”

“I feel incredibly fortunate to be bolted onto the team at Wylie Co. I'm literally getting to work on my dream project, ” says Bigler. “The things these guys are getting into will change the playing field for pre-visualization and post-visualization.”

“Wylie Co. is such a great company to work for,” shares Lang. “They have great projects, an excellent pipeline, and all my coworkers are quite talented.”

“Like many other studios, finding good talent has really been challenging lately,” says Creative Director Josh Hatton. “We are very fortunate to have such great artists joining the team, we continue to search for the best candidates wherever they may be. Our hybrid work approach lets artists work from home or come in as needed, and this seems to resonate with most people.”

Visual Effects Supervisor, Patrick Heinen also expresses his enthusiasm for Lang making a return to the team. “Dan comes with a long list of experience, as well as a critical eye for quality compositing, and both are true compositing rockstars in his own right,” shares Heinen.  “Dan has jumped in to help us reimagine a tricky post-vis sequence.”
