ABOUT
Today's children's toys are not made to last. This means they break easily and end up being thrown away, resulting in them ending up in landfills. Toys are not built like they used to be. Parents are not keeping their children's toys to pass down through the generations, there is no sentimental value to the toys of today.
In this project I will attempt to find the reasons behind why today's children's toys are not built to last, and how I can design and build a toy that is affordable, built to last and has sentimental value to it. I will look at existing products that are on the market and look at what these toys have to offer to parents and children. Having parents actively involved with the project is very important and I would like their input into designs and prototypes.
