Leeds Teaching Hospitals Cancer Centre has forged an extraordinary partnership with the King Hussein Cancer Centre in Jordan.

Cancer experts within the two centres will be working together on workshops and conferences that will provide training, teaching and research on the latest technical innovations and medical techniques in cancer research between the two centres.

The King Hussein Cancer Centre is the only specialised cancer centre in the Middle East to treat both adult and paediatric patients. The partnership created will see some of Leeds’ expertise in cancer treatment shared and developed with the Middle East, which is for the mutual benefit of both institutions and patients in Jordan and the UK.

It was fitting that such a unique and values based partnership was sealed with a Memorandum of Understanding designed by our team Definitive Creative.

To demonstrate the care and trust which will form the basis of the close bond between both centres, the Memorandum was presented in a bespoke and beautifully hand crafted wooden box with the hand made letter pressed scroll to be signed by HRH Princess Ghida Talal, of Jordan, the chair of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation and Linda Pollard, chair of the Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust.
