Eleonora Bompieri Industrial Designer

ABOUT

Smooth, rough-looking yet refined, Dima seems to take the form of who holds it in his hands. A small mechanical pencil that find its nature in its various profiles, in the smoothness of the steel. A material certainly not chosen at random: a strong and solid consistency, able to charge with the heat of its user.
Freely inspired by the sea, to the metal in all its processes: a clear homage to every touch of graphite on paper. An unpretentious object, that wants to rely on any kind of user, at any creative or formal time. The internal mechanism sees its structure inspired by drawings of the visionary Arnold Schweitzer, designer of the first Caran d’Ache snap pencils of Switzerland. Small elements assembled together, wrapped by a single shell steel almost unfolded in more turns of different sections.
