ABOUT

Racism in the US school system has created a mental health crisis for Black youth. The truth is, the most impactful lessons about race aren’t found in textbooks. They’re learned through the racist realities that undermine and criminalise Black students. These lessons go unspoken, but never unlearned. The Unspoken Curriculum was launched to raise awareness and speak the truth in order to drive change. The campaign featured a video featuring real students performing a spoken word poem to give voice to many untold experiences while empowering other students to reclaim their own.
