Duan Evans is a creative leader with nearly 20 years of experience in transforming clients' businesses by moving away from campaign based marketing to create integrated products and services. In his role as International Executive Creative Director at AKQA, he is the head of a passionate team of over 80 based in London and also oversees all creative work across the company's Portland, Shanghai, São Paulo and Tokyo offices.
Having worked for AKQA for over 17 years, Duan has always focused on bringing together technology, science, and art to construct innovative projects that connect brands with consumers through useful experiences. His projects range from helping to design the interface for Microsoft's first Xbox 360 more than ten years ago to recently creating the world's first LED basketball court as part of the iconic Nike Rise initiative or revolutionising brain training with Nike Pro Genius, a series of tools designed to help young footballers develop the mental side of their game.
Along the way, Duan has won a multitude of international awards. He also regularly speaks at industry events including Advertising Week Europe, Crystal and OFFF Festivals. Recently, he has spoken in Cannes on what the EU referendum means for the creative industry and discussed success strategies for women in the creative business at WPP Stella - WPP's senior leadership group on gender diversity.
