This watercolour study explores the nostalgic atmosphere of the December festive period. By layering delicate, translucent washes against rich, traditional tones of holly green and berry red, I aimed to capture the contrast between the crisp winter air and the inviting warmth of the season. The natural 'bloom' of the paint mimics the soft textures of falling snow, creating a piece that feels like a quiet moment caught in time.
