This actually looks a lot better than the original shot! It was really washed out until some lighting was thrown over the arm, face and helmet. Of course the mask, tracking it to each major change of the camera AND movement along the way has to be done to make it work. The spedometer was set up as an expression in After Effects along a background of Venetian Blinds that is keyframed to move to masquerade as wind that is implied with the fluttering of the subject´s shirt in the shot and keyframed to change in value as you would expect in a spedometer in vehicles not only in speed biut also in opacity too.
