A fitness training business logo design. From a pre-existing logo design, it has been redone through Adobe Illustrator alongside individual characters for the brand text allowing for increased manipulation in Adobe After Effects over its animations.
I extrapolated publicly available video from the business Youtube channel and selected kinetic movements into alpha matted text with a white background. Movement was slowed just enough to illustrate the kind of content this was. I parented this footage to follow their respective text character, creating a sort of keyhole effect in each piece whilst they spiralled into the correct position and as the eye is being drawn to the central logo, I could NOT touch their opacity because they were already alpha mattes, so I had to subtly split each of them into new layers at a non-distracting point, where I could fade them into their black design. The logo needs to do an impressive job to distract at this point so layering multiple effects, I experimented with it´s entrance of a ´Mercury´ effect, mixed with a ´Burn Film´ effect as it span into it´s centre position from a large to small scale, as the second word of text spells itself out with a simple 3D rotation reveal for each character. There is a minor after haul of the effect partnership that makes the logo feel like a flag that completes the design run time.
