ABOUT
Drawing out environments with a pen tool CANNOT used! To create believable, ongoing backgrounds that can continuously flow, I manipulated an effect called ´Fractal Noise´ and manipulate Black & White values in order to create a waveform (like an ECG reading) and filter out one side whilst colouring the other side (e.g; green for hills in this instance). From here on in, I duplicated this effect and increased / decreased the terrain via altering the ´Fractal Noise´ values from before and stretching the filter out / pulling it in based on the distance.
The sky was layered behind the final layer with minimal white values from it´s ´Fractal Noise´ counterpart with a glow & ´Wiggle´ expression placed on the fallout of white to masquerade as starlight.
The final touch a car - Merely to give context of how this effect is best used.
