Working as part of a busy team, we all help to mood board each issue to present to our client. One feature we were asked to mood board was Best Summer Ever, a feature that would give readers ideas on how to enjoy their summers to the max. We presented ideas and I was happy to see my concept chosen.

The idea was to use a collage style illustration, mixed with graphic shapes to show the different activities and give an overall Summery feeling. I went on to find an illustrator who I thought we would be perfect for the job and I worked up a brief with suggestions of visuals and a rough layout ready to commission. We went through a few rounds of amends to get the artwork we see now, but the outcome was great and worked really well to convey the feature. The feature received lots of attention from the team and went down really well.
