After Digital Glasgow

ABOUT

Located in the Glenlivet estate and named after the highest village in the Scottish Highlands we are delighted to showcase our work with Tomintoul Whisky.

After designing and developing the parent brand site for Angus Dundee back in 2013, we were selected to redesign and develop a new responsive site for sub-brand Tomintoul. With the aim of emulating the pure and authentic values and to develop an online presence that was a true extension of the Tomintoul brand we unveil phase two of this fantastic project.

With a great understanding of the Angus Dundee brand, our creative and UX experts worked closely with the Tomintoul team to get an idea of the project aims and objectives to put forward the best recommendations. After identifying key challenges with the existing website, our digital marketing and design teams advised on best practice for structure, content and SEO before getting started on the wireframing of key user journeys.

UX Design
Utilising high quality imagery, video, multimedia and CTA's the story of Tomintoul is portrayed with the aim of engaging users and increasing sales from both existing customers in the UK and internationally. As well as promoting the existing whisky range, the image-led approach also depicted the modern and contemporary brand. Additionally, taking the unique bottle shape and the strong branding of Tomintoul, the modern and elegant website was created emulating the freshness and purity of Tomintoul whisky.

As well portraying the hand-crafted, subtle characteristics of this award-winning gentle dram through imagery, the unique video banner highlights the organic nature of the whisky reaching out to key target markets and inviting audiences from around the world to engage with the brand in online space. Operating from a multi-site manager in the open source CMS Joomla,, this allowed the Tomintoul team to take complete control of their website providing maximum flexibility for updates.

“With years of experience in the international drinks market and boasting Gordon and MacPhail and Benromach whiskies as two of our best clients, we were delighted to add Angus Dundee and it’s sub-brands into the mix. Having won awards and commendations for our work in this sector we brought our industry experience to the project and delivered a website we can all be proud of. With a big focus on quality imagery throughout, we are delighted with how the website conveys the uniqueness of the brand and can’t wait to get started on the Glencadam website.”
