My interpretation of the given theme Roots: "Well when working on the already given theme I thought about it and obviously slavery came to mind but I thought no let me showcase what we as black people were like before slavery. Because I dunno why by when ever it's black history month or whatever all focus is on slavery and oppression like we didn't exist before that. So I started the off that and I did the yellow African brother but then I thought nah let me keep it simple and stick to a collection of faces so I focus on all the indigenous people that still exist".
