A symbolic short film about order, containment and the illusion of control.

Wooden Boxes follows Sanna as she drifts through the oddness of modern life, gradually becoming aware of an unseen presence. Technology is treated as a form of consciousness, quietly observing, organising and shaping perception.

Drawing on The Tempest, the film reframes Shakespeare’s meditation on power, sin and moral consequence through a contemporary lens of surveillance, technology and dread.

AI-generated imagery is embedded directly into the film’s visual language, becoming part of its symbolic logic rather than a concealed production technique. The result is an unsettling, dreamlike world where reality, technology and perception begin to blur.
