For the 9th World Choir Games held in Sochi in July 2016 we were tasked with designing a graphic symbol, a mascot in the form of a fire-bird, traditional Russian folk fairy character. The fire-bird mascot should be recognizable and still unique, so some long feathers of the bird’s tail curve to resemble a treble clef, indicating music, while vibrant warm colors of the bird feathers stand for the diversity, joy and fun of the choir games.
