Created in 1948 and, at the time, the first-to-market UK mint, Polo is a classic of confectionery. Nestlé briefed us to rejuvenate the brand, give it a more significant stand-out, improve range navigation and crucially attract a new, younger audience while naturally retaining loyalists.

Our strategic diagnosis: The Mint With The Hole had something missing – it had forgotten its heritage. So, we looked backwards to move the brand forwards, and the new designs reflected the simplicity of the 1950s designs.

Result: 6% positive swing in sales of POLO range
