British Gas wanted to show its customers that it was a customer-focused, service-led company ready and willing to innovate and make their lives better. Part of this involved tackling the increasingly negative customer reaction to bills – due to estimated bills, disconnect between cost and seasonal use, and rising energy prices.

We helped British Gas create EnergySmart™ - a free, online service and app that allows customers to manage their energy usage and payments through monthly meter readings, online billing, bill alerts and personalised usage charts.

By encouraging and enabling customers to provide meter readings, British Gas would be able to provide more accurate bills and greater transparency. With an intuitive interface, clear menus and a sleek engaging design, we helped ensure repeat use.



Our work has also been voted “Best Home Services website” by eDigital Research, eConsultancy 2010.
