About me

I am a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about the media industry. I have completed a degree in Communication Studies and Public Relations and looking to further my knowledge and skills working in the TV and Film Industry.

I have recently finished working on a new Jerry Springer game show for Sky One. This was a very exciting production to be involved in. My range of duties included being the studio floor runner assisting with printing / photocopying and delivering scripts, looking after contestants and their families, answering the telephones and a number of other tasks which has led to a greater understanding of the industry as a whole.

I have also completed a work placement for ITV in London where I worked on the 'Challenge Anneka' programme. This was a fantastic opportunity whereby I fulfilled the role as a 'runner'. I have improved and acquired a number of skills from this placement; in particular my communication skills, research skills and teamwork. I have gained knowledge of the many roles and processes that are involved in TV production and in particular the main duties that are expected from a 'runner'. I was involved in doing basic office duties, such as, photocopying schedules, to using the internet for planning location maps and routes, to shopping for props and assisting A.P's on set during filming. I received great feedback from the producer and assistant producers.
