About me

During my career and own business opportunities, I have developed and demonstrated many skills that have led to success.

Previous roles have enabled me to provide expertise and support to enable the development and delivery of new and existing services and to support the needs of the businesses including developing business plans, quality training and monitoring, community events and services as well as developing effective communications and marketing. I have also demonstrated an excellent ability to building relationships amongst statutory bodies, multi-agency forums, education and community members as well as key stakeholders.

My career to date has enabled me to develop processes, excel in training and delivery, compose and write funding applications and tenders, comply with specifications, timescales and internal business development strategies, target setting, assessment and delivery, all supporting development and delivery of project plans and strategically developing businesses.

My latest career roles have included: Further Education Management, National Training Manager, Management Consultancy and more recently own business pursuits including Hospitality Management and consultant for a safeguarding business:

During , I started to work at Doncaster College within the Early Years Care & Education Department as Curriculum Manager/Leader. This position involved the management and implementation of the Early Years & Education courses and curriculum, planning, and staffing, developments within the department for the wider college, OFSTED preparation and staff training, quality assurance and verification processes as well as many day to day problem solving, communications, quality management and assessment, consultations and liaisons. I regarded this role at the college as being challenging, professionally inspiring and developmentally engaging.

In 2007 I worked for Schoolfriendetc, a national company based in London providing after-school care across England and Wales. I took up the position of Deputy Training Manager & later Training Manager for the North of England & Midlands. This role enabled me to develop a focus on quality and write a variety of training units, work alongside an awarding body to achieve endorsement of units and delivery, assessment of training. I felt that after a diverse few years in a variety of forms of educational settings I wanted to further my experiences and opportunities elsewhere and build upon my management skills, focus on quality and professionalism as well as project management.

2008 I was lucky enough to embark on a new career position with Mouchel Management Consulting as an education consultant and project manager and have worked alongside management teams on a variety of education-related projects including Academies, Building Schools for the Future and various CPD, consultation and engagement related work. This work provided me with new knowledge and skills related to project management systems, tools, costing, reporting and delivery. During my time at Mouchel I constructed a consultation toolkit database to support engagements with all stakeholders throughout the Building Schools for the Future process, liaised with local authorities to help them organise and plan stakeholder conferences to support their Strategy for Change process, supported ICT CPD project at a school in Bristol and assisted on some countrywide Academy projects.

My role at Mouchel provided new avenues within education which proved to be exciting, challenging yet rewarding and allowed me to facilitate my knowledge and experiences as well as presenting new ones in the process.

More recently 2013 to present after working on a consultation basis for Protective Behaviours UK ( a national safeguarding charity) I became co-Director for the new national Protective Behaviours community interest company Protective Behaviours Consortium, here I became Director of Quality & Business Development. As a result, I have supported the company to grow in the past few years and worked some truly amazing people and many vulnerable individuals who have used the Protective Behaviours Process to enrich and support their lives. The company now works across the UK with various authorities, businesses and organisations using a training, referral and provisions approach. I recently stood down from an operational role within the company to become a non-executive director.

I am now looking for an exciting and challenging opportunity to advance my career further, make excellent use of my skills, experiences and interests.

I pride myself in overseeing quality and see this opportunity as an obvious progression building relationships, ensuring goals are met, working with key stakeholders and evaluating outcomes, leading to success.

My career has offered me many challenges and opportunities of which I have personally succeeded. The pursuit of own business ideas and new skills have mainly been centred around business quality & development through strategic planning, training, learning, event management, effective communications and monitoring results.

This role would make good use of the skills, experiences and knowledge that I have already acquired over the past few years as well as allowing me to explore new avenues and deal with new challenges whilst making a difference for individuals, businesses, communities and society.
