Laughing Dog are a family owned dog food company who specialise in slow-baked dog foods and treats, created by nutritionists using ingredients grown on their own farm in Northern England.

They came to Like Digital looking for ways to increase brand awareness and reach a new audience of city-based dog owners. We suggested running a referral-based sample giveaway, alongside a comprehensive social campaign, that would extend the brands reach while gaining rich data.

Using our refer-a-friend tool as the basis, we designed and developed a three-step quiz to be used across the website and FaceBook that told users which product was right for there dog. They are then prompted to share the offer with three friend’s before claiming their free sample.

We developed a full social strategy to be put in place in the build-up to, during and after the giveaway to ensure maximum impact. We looked at their existing customer base, and the social habits of the people they were trying to target. We then put Laughing Dog in touch with key influencers who could help push the campaign to their audience.
The campaign was such a success that Laughing Dog then asked us to take control of their Magento eCommerce website, and to design and build a brand new homepage that more fully represents the brand’s personality, and where it wants to be.
