Dear David,

I would like to apply for the position of Junior Project Manager as advertised on your website. I currently have 4 years' experience since graduating from Cambridge with a Photography Degree. During that time I have gained experience in a number of diverse areas including project managing and marketing, administration, sales, new product development and launching.

I am very proud of my successful launch of the Nautica brand within Debenhams. For this project I worked very closely with designers and suppliers to create in-store installations to display and promote the brand. I was responsible for sourcing materials and props and for managing the production of the displays. I was also responsible for the launch of many other new products and ranges. I am well-organised with an eye for detail and have experience running multiple projects, as well as working to tight deadlines.

At Laura Ashley, I am currently managing the role out of new paint ranges and working with designers, photographers and suppliers to produce a new front page for our web site.

I am fully computer literate in MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Publisher and MS Project which I have used effectively to present ideas to senior managers. In my current role at Laura Ashley I make extensive use of Excel spreadsheets to gather and analyze information, to create cost estimates, monitor budgets and provide reports on a regular basis.

I am highly motivated and a hard worker, but I am also sociable and communicative. I thoroughly enjoy working with other people as part of a team and I am confident to take the lead when required. I very much enjoy meeting and working with clients. I have great communication skills and have been praised by 2 previous managers on my phone manner and face to face communications. I am quickly able to build up a rapour and develop good working relationships with both clients and colleagues.

I think this role is a great opportunity where I could fully utilise my creative flair.
