ABOUT

This is the first digipak design that we made. It was for an Austrian rock-band named Triptonus. The illustrations were hand drawn and hand painted on two pieces of hard paper (290mm x 920mm) . The album consists out of six panels and one illustrated CD. It shows a druid's journey in a strange world that is slowly decomposing. Throughout this adventure, we are accompanied by a branch that is meant to show us the way from the exterior to the interior of the album and all the way to the CD. The exterior panels start with mountains and forest landscapes. Suddenly, huge chunks of earth and trees flow to the skies thus turning the land into a desert. As we open the digipak and look inside, the sun loses it's energy and starts melting in the vast desert. The interior panels show a nocturnal world where spheres of glowing sand depart from land unveiling the ocean. The branch dries as it reaches the desert but it dives into water, coming out at the other end as a sprout and reaching for the full moon.
