About me

To Whom it may concern,

I am very interested in the freelance junior designer role and hope my application can be considered. I have studied BA Product and Furniture Design at Kingston University, this is a very practical course where I have learnt a high level of theoretical knowledge and art history. During my time at Kingston I have developed the ability to generate ideas, communicate them effectively and can confidently form a critical opinion. My portfolio has a strong variety of projects and design approaches, demonstrating my ability to respond to different briefs and also shows fluency in Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator. I also have experience working in PremierePro. I also have a considerable amount of work experience alongside my education which has provided me with a good understanding of customer relations and telephone manner.

Since graduating I have exhibited at New Designers and London design Festival where I was heavily involved in curation, PR and general organisation of the events. I have also designed and built a set for shoe company Kult Domini which was displayed in Somerset House for London Fashion Week, I was project managing under a very tight deadline. I have recently been splitting my time between interning for a small furniture studio, an established architectural company and occasionally undertake freelance work for a retail design company. I believe I have practical skills and professional experience which are highly transferable and would be useful. I look forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards,

Danielle McCauley
