One of the main parts of the role at TESCO, was to benchmark and test competitor products. This was to see the trends within the sector, as well as reduce costs, and see where the products could be improved for the customer. The changes we required would then be fed back to our suppliers.

Along with working with the products, I would design the Instruction manuals, making sure they met British Standards, as well as meeting customer feedback, where some customers called for text, and others just images.

Analytics
To help us improve our products we would use the TESCO clubcard data, that helped us determine the customer base.

We would also use returns data, which helped us determine products that weren’t meeting our customers satisfaction. Once we had a list of products that weren’t performing well, I would then gather our customer feedback, Clubcard data, and customer service reports, to determine how our customers were using the products, to then make a decision on how we can make improvements.
