About me

As a hardworking, meticulous and organized individual with a passion for media, photography and travel, I am writing to express my interest and enthusiasm in the arts/media/and museum world. My past work experience and my strong interpersonal and written communication skills make me a strong candidate, and I hope to have the opportunity to discuss my qualifications and the position with you at greater length.

I may not be your typical candidate; I was born and raised in the United States and received my undergraduate degree in ancient history from The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. However, pursuit of a strong research based graduate program in my field brought me to the United Kingdom and to the University of Leicester, where I am in the process of completing my master's degree in Roman archaeology. My passion for travel and photography expanded once I started at Ohio State and I would love to continue to see and educate others about the world which surrounds them. Studying within the United States and then heading over to England has enabled me with an extensive understanding for international relations, adapting quickly to new situations and provided me with a more detailed interpersonal skill and these skills combined would distinguish me as a part of a creative team.

My work experience and education have provided me with strong office support, leadership and organization skills, both as an individual and as part of a larger team. I served as an admissions counsellor at The Ohio State University, one of the largest comprehensive universities in the United States. This position required a great deal of complexity and an ability to adapt quickly and seamlessly with last-minute changes. In this and other positions, I developed skills to anticipate and address the needs of the directors and colleagues whom I supported, as well as the ability to work on tasks independently and troubleshoot as needed. My experience with developing marketing strategy and outreach as part of the nutritional firm Muscle Milk also has endowed me with a keen understanding of the demands and needs of marketing/promotional teams, and I would bring that familiarity and knowledge to this position.

Throughout my life I have become accustomed to driving myself mentally and physically towards my best and it is through this that I have been able to understand and implement displays, provide efficient field work and innovative and understanding research. I know if provided a position within any company that i will strive through my developed desires within education and art to create more opportunities for expansive research and public outreach. , While working at one of the most comprehensive admissions offices in the Univted States I was able to grasp the concept of administrative work and how it needs to be presented to the public. It was a very educational experience which prepared me for my next position with the highly respect nutritional company Muscle Milk. It was here where I fully defined my interpersonal skills and an understanding for marketing and advertisement which has elloted me with a vast understanding of the relations and displays.

Sector Experience

Having studied biological sciences for half of my bachelors I have been able to grasp a great concept of the growing world through science and then through cultural studies. I have chosen Leicester due to its remarkable research focus and it has developed many key skills in understanding the arts, the history and the actions of civilisations and it is with this knowledge and that of my work experience that I would quickly adapt and provide an elite service and skill set for any position offered. , I have desired to follow my admiration for understanding the truths of the world and through archaeology and the remnants civilisations have provided I have grasped the evolution and amalgamation of the world quite severly. I desire working in an atmosphere which provides challenges for me while pursuing a great purpose for the public. It is with great honour that I believe I will be of great benefit to any academic, museum or field team out there.
